• A newcomer with a question regarding the dreaded"dollar" watch!

  Hi Folks,I'm new to this forum, having lurked about on and off for the past year.I have assembled a small collection of "dollar" watches over the last twelve months or so, and have also purchased a lovely little Illinois movement that I hope to repair some day (more about that later).Now, I guess that most folks on this forum would say that "dollar" watches are not worth repairing, but I'm hoping ........

  I've been wearing this Christmas gift to myself for two days now and I'm quite pleased with it. I've not been fond of dress watches this size, but this watch is so nice and such a bargain that it's winning me over. Just looking at it, it's easy for me to forget that it's not a "luxury" watch. It certainly has a nice feel to it and it's precision seems to be within COSC at this time. We'll know bet........

  Hi GuysI'm normally into my omegaes, but I'm keen to find out about Panerai and the buzz with them, etc.I'm one of those people that has only seen the Panerai's in the movies and the one that really takes my fancy is the one Jason Statham wears in The Transporter 2. It is the Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight PAM00196 with black strap and I think it looks amazing!Question is I've had a look on Paner........
